Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll Specialist/Accounts Receivable Assoc. As a Payroll Specialist/Accounts Receivable Assoc, you will assist with payroll preparation for processing, maintain the time tracking records, be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, and managing collections of outstanding invoices. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining positive relationships with our customers and employees and assisting with ensuring the financial stability of our company.
Payroll Duties:
- Manage employee data for payroll processing
- Prepare and execute all phases relating to payroll processing, generating reports, and post-payroll recordkeeping
- Monitor time tracking for all hourly employees
- Communicate closely with employees and Logistics dept to accurately record time off requests
Accounting Duties:
- Prepare and send out monthly statements to customers
- Communicate with customers regarding payment discrepancies or issues to resolve any collections matters
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and interactions with customers
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any billing or payment-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online cloud-base) to input and retrieve financial data
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar role
- QuickBooks Online cloud-based accounting software experience, a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) or related software
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Familiarity with ADP Run payroll, a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
