EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In this position, you will provide classroom and on-the-job training and instruction to inmates in the standard practices, methods, and procedures of the electrical trade. This will involve installation, construction, repair, inspection, and maintenance of above and underground electrical systems, building electrical systems, lighting systems, switch boxes and transformers, motors, generators, and electrical appliances. You will conduct classroom training through the delivery of an appropriate curriculum of the trade. As an instructor, you will need to maintain order and discipline of inmates during work assignments and classroom instruction. You can expect to maintain documentation of all inmate training progress, attendance, and assignment details. Additionally, you will oversee and direct inmate work crews in completing electrical work orders as part of the on-the-job training provided. Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51, before taxes).
