DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Unclaimed Property Claims Examiner I, you will be responsible for thoroughly examining and evaluating claim submissions and supporting documentation to verify ownership and entitlement in accordance with established laws, policies, and procedures. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
As a member of the Unclaimed Property Call Center, you will assist with a high volume of claimant calls related to unclaimed property in a knowledgeable, pleasant, and professional manner. This role involves providing excellent customer service and crafting professional emails and verbal responses to claimants and the public. You will provide clear and courteous guidance to the public regarding claim status, required documentation, and general program information.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: After the successful completion of the training period, you may be eligible to a mandatory 3 days a week in the office and work from home (telework) up to 2 days a week. Management may discontinue the telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed Internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will report daily to your headquarters location. The location where you perform your telework must be located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in general office work and graduation or equivalency from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must be physically able to hear and understand phone callers and to sit at a workstation for prolonged periods of time.
- You must be able to articulate clearly and loudly enough to be easily heard and understood on the telephone.
- You must have experience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, web-based utilities or have the ability to learn relevant software to perform job duties.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Call center customer service experience
- Experience reviewing claim documentation for accuracy and working within time constraints
