EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As an Accountant 2, you will be designated as the Program's Single Audit Coordinator. As such, you will be responsible for the analyzation and development of responses to any exceptions identified in the Independent Audit of the Counties MH/DS Program, related to individual areas of responsibility. Your duties will also include assisting in developing a Corrective Action Plan, responsibility for all provider-monitoring activities, and budget oversight of the MH/DS program provider services contracts. Work also involves preparing monthly invoices; reconciling all accounts related to special grant programs; reviewing contracted provider year-end Income & Expenditure reports; reviewing and reporting mental health client count data; and reconciling the internal general ledger to the County general ledger on a quarterly basisYou will have the opportunity to act as a liaison between MHDS and mental health providers to authorize consumer units of service and perform adjustments in the Mental Health billing software system, as well as maintain the mental health provider rate file.
