DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Custodial Worker 1, you will provide custodial and linen distribution services for living units, offices, and miscellaneous areas in over 10 buildings on our 266-bed hospital campus. You will perform basic housekeeping and maintain a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. An employee in this position will be considered an essential employee and will be required to report to work during emergencies and office closings. In addition, you will use universal infection precautions daily, operate custodial equipment, report equipment repair needs, and attend development programs and training classes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating weekends and holidays as assigned.
- Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,523.00 (before taxes).

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
