Description
The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.
The Department of Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate opening for a Regional Specialist based in Jefferson County.
Responsible for temporary coverage of vacant positions statewide to assure compliance with court of justice and family and juvenile services policies.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for temporary coverage of vacant positions statewide to assure compliance with court of justice and family and juvenile services policies.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Fill in for vacant staff statewide. Executes functions as they affect the programs of numerous and complex organizational segments for the evaluation and improvement of such programs.
- Provides oversight of staff and programs plans, organizes, supervises and checks the work of employees engaged in performing administrative functions.
- Supervises and recommends policy regarding research studies to be initiated in connection with compiling complex interpretive reports and summaries of statistical information.
- Recommends policy and determinations on fiscal, personnel and budgetary matters.
- Writes departmental annual reports.
- Interprets departmental policy to the public and departmental employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two (2) years of experience in related field

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office setting within a detention center and requires regular attendance on- site at the designated work location. Supervision and case management of adult criminal defendants and, or, adult offenders. May include nights, weekends, and holidays. Extensive travel may be required.
