Glasgow State Nursing Facility (GSNF) may be the place for you. We are a state-of-the-art 100-bed long-term care nursing facility for individuals with mental illness or intellectual disabilities. We are seeking a Recreation Aide to join our team in caring and improving the daily lives of our residents.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Organizes and conducts recreational activities for residents at Glasgow State Nursing Facility, a 100-bed long-term care facility; and performs other duties as required.
- Conducts and assists in large and small group activities, such as parties, dances, games, sports, and special events. Performs one-on-one activities with residents. Adheres to federal and state regulatory guidelines. Supervises the use of activity equipment and supplies.
- Conducts and/or assists in community functions such as concerts, plays, sporting events, and picnics. Transports residents to community outings and medical appointments. Collaborates with social services and nursing departments on a daily basis.
- Documents and prepares reports of activities and maintains daily attendance and progress notes. Enters specific resident activity information into an internal database.
- Attends training sessions and participates on assigned committees. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Dependability.
- Team Player.
