Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Philadelphia, PA. The Sales Engineer will work directly with manufacturing customers to understand their production needs, recommend appropriate machine tool and work holding solutions, and prepare clear proposals and quotations. Day-to-day activities include conducting site visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations, as well as collaborating with internal service teams to design turnkey solutions and support machine optimization. The role will respond to customer inquiries, provide technical guidance on equipment capabilities and integration, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation. The Sales Engineer will also maintain an active sales pipeline, follow up on leads, participate in industry events as needed, and document customer interactions and project details in the company’s systems.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering background with the ability to translate manufacturing requirements into practical equipment and system solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in Sales, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing opportunities in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Support capabilities to assist customers with product selection, configuration, troubleshooting, and basic post-sale technical questions.
- Excellent Communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly in person, in writing, and during presentations to diverse stakeholders.
- Customer Service mindset with a focus on responsiveness, relationship-building, and long-term account development.
- Familiarity with machine tools, CNC controls (FANUC experience is a plus), and manufacturing processes such as machining or metalworking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Philadelphia, PA, travel to customer locations as needed, and safely navigate shop floor environments.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software for managing quotes, documentation, and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States.
