Our Tellers build strong relationships with our members by providing exceptional service in a face-to-face environment. They efficiently and accurately handle financial transactions involving member accounts or loans, ensuring adherence to internal controls for safeguarding credit union funds and assets.
Our Tellers maintain balancing standards, verify check endorsements, and ensure accurate record-keeping. They demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment while actively cross-selling services and resolving member account inquiries.
They comply with all established policies, procedures, and applicable laws to ensure operational integrity and offer additional support as needed.
The duties and responsibilities of a Teller include, but are not limited to:
- Efficiently and accurately processing member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments while strictly following security protocols to protect member information.
- Applying foundational financial knowledge to confidently discuss products and services with members -- ensuring they meet department standards for service excellence.
- Completing transactions and requests with precision, consistently maintaining low error rates through attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of security protocols, including physical security, confidentiality, and cybersecurity.
- Communicating promptly any suspicious activities to management and adhering to procedures for safeguarding credit union funds.
- Demonstrating commitment and reliability by building positive relationships within the team, showing a strong sense of urgency, and providing excellent internal service.
- Actively participating in team meetings and contributing to branch initiatives.
- Supporting colleagues across departments and fulfilling additional duties as assigned.
- Enhancing expertise by actively pursuing development opportunities including but not limited to, attending conferences, acquiring certifications, completing learning courses in UKG and other relevant platforms, or engaging in both internal and external leadership programs.
