Exciting Career Opportunity!Common Ground is seeking a Crisis Hub Specialist to be a part of the Common Ground Crisis Hub (CGCH) team.Current OpeningsFull-Time, 40 hours/week, typically Monday – Friday, 8a – 4pFull-Time, 40 hours/week, typically Monday – Friday, 4p – 12aPart-Time, 16 hours/week, typically Saturday/Sunday, 8a- 4pPart-Time, 16 hours/week, typically Saturday/Sunday, 4p – 12aContingent (2)Compensation$22.00 - $24.50 per hour, plus applicable shift differential.About You The Common Ground Crisis Hub (CGCH) Specialists use a calm tone of voice, non-judgmental listening, and trauma-informed skills to welcome the caller into the continuum of care at Common Ground. The position is a mixture of registration clerical duties with coordination and dispatch responsibilities along with the expectation to provide crisis intervention via telephone calls when needed. This position will provide crisis intervention, information and referrals, and follow-up calls in the Crisis Hub, via telephone. The CGCH Specialist will assist with the flow of people through the crisis continuum so that people in crisis get the help that they need as quickly as possible. This position will track people’s movement through the crisis continuum and alert the CGCH Manager when people are waiting too long or are stuck, or when part of the continuum is not working as intended. The goal of handling referrals to our internal programs is to complete as much of the welcoming process in advance of the person’s service so that the time spent collecting information from the person is minimal and services can begin quickly. Day in the Life
- Provide comprehensive crisis intervention and assist callers in finding their place in the crisis continuum via telephone
- Maintain up to date records in the Electronic Health Record
- Consistently exercise superior customer service skills with team members, individuals being served, and with the community
- Provide follow-up calls
- Provide assessment and dispatch for face-to-face mobile crisis responses
- For mobile crisis referrals, check CCBHC alignment and collect/share all necessary information
- Check insurance in CHAMPS and Web Dennis
- Check guardianship in Electronic Health Record
- Contact and answer calls to/from Core Providers regarding people seeking mobile crisis services
- Ensure that incoming and outgoing fax correspondence contains appropriate documentation
- High school diploma or GED
- Crisis Intervention experience (preferred)
- Satisfactory completion of Common Ground’s Crisis Intervention Training
- Satisfactory completion of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
- Demonstrated experience utilizing the Caplan Model of Crisis Intervention
- Experience as a front office Medical Assistant (preferred)
