Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista/Cashier to join our team in creating a welcoming café environment. As a Barista/Cashier, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe environment for customers.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math skills is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is an asset.
