Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team! Your expertise in groundskeeping, landscaping, and equipment operation will ensure our environment remains inviting, safe, and well-maintained. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair outdoor structures, hardscapes, irrigation systems, and other groundskeeping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and identifying various plant species; handle tree removal when necessary.
- Conduct pesticide management following safety protocols to control pests while protecting plant health.
- Execute snow plowing and de-icing during winter months to ensure safe access around the property.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently while performing outdoor work tasks to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools, landscaping equipment, and construction machinery such as excavators.
- Strong background in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and groundskeeping practices.
- Knowledge of plant identification, tree care techniques, irrigation systems, and pesticide management protocols.
- Prior outdoor work experience with a focus on grounds maintenance or landscaping projects.
- Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery including mowers, trimmers, snow plows, and hardscape tools safely.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in maintaining outdoor spaces.
