Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Level 1
FLSA Status: non-exempt
Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position)
Position Overview
Safely perform specific retread tasks with emphasis toward producing high quality product per Commercial Tire specifications and time standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- A team player committed to continuous improvement, high quality and safety.
- Adheres to and supports safe work practices and Commercial Tire’s safety guidelines and standards.
- Assists in the manufacturing of retreading tires.
- Maintains high quality workmanship.
- Keeps supervisor informed of production problems as they occur.
- Performs minor maintenance and repair of specifically assigned equipment & keeps work area in safe, clean and workable manner.
- Safely operate at least 3 assigned machines, tools and equipment in the shop, which may include but not limited to: Skive / Extruder / Chambers / Final / Builder / Buffer / Initial
- Manager determines areas trained in.
- To be trained – in areas, must be able to meet performance and time standards per bandag.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-4 Years’ experience (preferred)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass the CRTAP following 30 days of employment.
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Able to read technical & operational manuals
