Commercial Structures Corp., a respected family‑owned manufacturer of modular and fork/crane‑liftable buildings with over 50 years of industry leadership, is seeking a skilled CAD Operator/Engineer to support our production and engineering teams. We are looking for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong technical and construction knowledge to the table
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, schematics, and models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
- Develop accurate designs and drafting documentation aligned with project specifications and industry standards.
- Produce construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and technical details for various engineering disciplines.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to review designs, resolve conflicts, and ensure constructability.
- Utilize CAD tools to prepare visualizations such as 2D animations or walkthroughs that enhance project presentations.
- Maintain organized CAD files and project records while adhering to company standards for version control and data management.
- Assist in reviewing schematics and technical drawings to verify accuracy before submission or construction.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
- Experience creating schematics, technical drawings, and construction documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with 2D animation for project visualization purposes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
