Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical CAD Designer to create, develop, and maintain 12V and 120V electrical designs for Recreational Vehicles. This role focuses on producing high‑quality 2D schematics, 3D models and documentation that meet engineering and production standards. The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to translate design intent into accurate, manufacturable content.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D electrical schematics and 3D electrical routing models.
- Develop and update electrical CAD content based on sketches, redlines, and design markups.
- Implement engineering changes and ensure updates propagate correctly to all affected components.
- Prepare release-ready models, drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing, vendors, and service teams.
- Consult with Engineers and Product Designers to clarify requirements and ensure adherence to project scope.
- Apply and uphold drafting and CAD standards and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot CAD‑related electrical design discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems
- Knowledge of 12V and 120V electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret and generate electrical schematics and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret engineering with intent and apply standards consistently.
- Effective communicator able to collaborate with Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, and offshore teams.
- Experience with 3D electrical routing (preferred)
- Familiarity with RV electrical systems, multiplex systems, and NEC code (preferred)
