You will run construction like it's 2030, not 1995. This is not a "manage subcontractors and fill out forms" job. This is the person who will make our buildings appear faster, cheaper, and better than anyone else on Earth.
Hard Requirements (No Exceptions)- You already use AI every single day like it's oxygen. Claude, custom agents, automation workflows -- you built them yourself. If you cannot show me, on the spot, an AI tool or script you wrote that saved real time and money on a real project, you are out. "Willing to learn AI" is an automatic reject.
- You have personally shipped at least one construction process that used to be manual and is now automated (drone surveys, AI estimating, robotic layout, digital-first documentation, whatever). Tell me exactly what you built and the numbers it moved.
- 3 years actually running commercial projects end-to-end (estimating through closeout). We dropped the old 7-year requirement because we care about output, not gray hair. But you must have built real stuff with your own hands in the field -- no pure desk jockeys.
- You can serve as Qualifying Agent for our Tennessee BC license within 90 days (or already have it). If you have a license from AL, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, OH, or SC, your trade exam is already waived -- we will help you get the rest done.
- You treat Procore, Bluebeam, QuickBooks, and whatever other tools we use like weapons, not chores. You have built systems so tight that nothing slips through the cracks.
- You are allergic to bureaucracy. You report straight to the owner (me) with zero layers. You will own the full P&L, schedule, and risk on multiple $100K - $15M jobs at once.
- You are obsessed with construction technology -- drones, robots, machine control, 360-degree documentation, AI agents writing your reports, GPS machine control. You already follow it daily and have strong opinions about what is real versus hype.
- You think like an owner, not an employee. You would rather build the company from scratch than sit in some giant GC waiting for your boss to retire.
- You see every repetitive manual task as a personal insult and immediately start automating it.
- You communicate like an adult: transparent, data-backed, no surprises, no politics.
- FAA Part 107 drone certification (we will pay for it)
- Experience with 360-degree platforms, construction robotics, BIM, custom AI agents (Make, n8n, Zapier, etc.)
- OSHA 30, AutoCAD/Bluebeam, etc.
$135K - $155K base vehicle allowance 15-20% performance bonus real equity participation in the projects you build, with a structured path to company ownership for the right person. This is not a vague "maybe someday" promise -- we will put the equity structure in writing before you start, with clear vesting, clear triggers, and clear upside.
Top performers will be at $250K - $350K total comp within 3 years. Tennessee has no state income tax -- your equity dollars go a lot further here than anywhere else in the country.
If this description makes you excited instead of scared, you are probably the person we want.
If it sounds like too much work or too much tech, please do not apply -- we are moving extremely fast and have zero tolerance for "good enough."
- The single most impactful automation or AI thing you ever built (with proof).
- One construction tech you are most excited about right now and why.
- What you want to build in the next five years as an owner and operator.
No cover letter. Just those three things.
