Position Summary
Commercial Properties Inc. (CPI) is seeking a motivated Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team. This role supports CPI's brokers in marketing commercial properties through social media channels while also helping build CPI's own presence and voice across social platforms. This is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in marketing and commercial real estate within a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist brokers in creating and scheduling social media content to market property listings, including photos, videos, and virtual tours.
- Support the planning and execution of CPI's corporate social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Draft, edit, and publish engaging posts and graphics that reflect CPI's brand and voice.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement and help respond to comments and messages as appropriate.
- Track social media analytics and performance metrics, and help prepare simple reports on results.
- Help maintain a content calendar and coordinate post timing with brokers and the Marketing team.
- Research industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices in commercial real estate social media marketing.
- Support other marketing projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic graphic design skills; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Interest in commercial real estate is a plus, though not required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing a social media account, personal or professional.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Basic photo or video editing skills.
