Quality Auditor 2nd & 3rd Shift (2 + YRS of Manufacturing Experience REQ)

This is a 3rd shift position. The hours are 11pm-7am. It comes with a shift differential.

Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):

  • Ensures completion of in-process inspections/audits per part requirements and supports production as needed.

Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):

  • Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded.
  • Visually Inspect product to ensure it meets customer specifications.
  • Completes in-process, dimensional, and final inspection of parts with various inspection equipment.
  • Performs Startup and Restart Inspection and completes accompanying documentation.
  • Verifies Process Parameters during Startups and Restarts
  • Records results of inspections and audits.
  • Performs Operation Training Verification.
  • Identifies products that do not meet standards, reviews with supervisor, and place them on hold, if needed.
  • Practices containment to ensure products with quality issues are not shipped to customers.
  • Generates Deviations in response to a change in process or product.
  • Creates accompanying MRO for Deviations related to Date Code.
  • Ensures a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in tasks performed.
  • Communicates with employees to ensure all quality standards are met and all parts are within customer specifications.
  • Perform Inspections and Rework in PR Hold, according to Hold Ticket Instructions.
  • Documents Results of Rework, Sort, and Scrap activity on Hold Ticket when working in PR Hold.
  • Perform Scrap Transactions in ERP System, as needed
  • Update the Hold Ticket Log when Sorting, Reworking, or Scrapping activity is complete.
  • Communicates updates and changes to work instructions and control plans to improve production processing and auditing.
  • Assists with training Machine Operators, as needed.
  • Maintains clean workstation and continuously practices housekeeping standards.
  • Performs all other assignments as required.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using basic measurement tools (gage pins, gage blocks, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Problem solver: able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and able to work with and direct others.
  • Experience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Able to lift 55 lbs. up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistance.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. above head occasionally.
  • Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
  • Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours)
  • Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and powered.
  • Ability to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ¼” in diameter.
  • Good hand and wrist dexterity
  • Visually inspect all parts
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
