Description

Purpose

WindRiver Golf Community and Marina is searching for a licensed, experienced security professional for our private community. As Security Guard, you will ensure a safe and secure community by following the proper protocol to only allow authorized entry while remaining courteous and professional in your dealings and communication.

HOURS: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday - Thursday (Full Time 32hours per week)

Gatehouse Guard Responsibilities

• Create a positive first impression for guests and owners by providing friendly and professional service
• Stay alert and attentive to every vehicle providing quick response times
• Record all vehicle and destination information for each person entering community
• Allow authorized personnel entry by following the correct steps to verify access
• If unauthorized, re-direct and do not grant access to community until authorized
• Provide daily security patrol through the community as scheduled
• Answer phone calls, emails, and internal communication
• Work closely with the front office and communicate effectively with all staff
• Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of workplace
• Stay up to date on community happenings and events
• Program car tags as assigned
• Provide expertise and support for security throughout community
• Provide other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred
• 2 years of relevant security experience; private community experience preferred
• Active Unarmed Security Guard/Officer license from the State of TN required or obtained within 3 days of start
  
  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to work effectively under minimal direct supervision
• Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal and communication skills with staff and customers
• Strong organizational skills and general clerical skills including the use of computers, printers, copiers, electronic signatures, email, iPads, etc.
• Ability to retrieve information from various technical sources
• Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations
  
  

Physical Requirements

Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 30lbs
