Summary:
Customer Service Dispatcher Description:
The Dispatcher will work closely with the service manager and will perform all key dispatch functions to include routing and scheduling service technicians and communicating service requests.
Customer Service Dispatcher Description:
- Prioritize and schedule calls according to importance and urgency
- Maintain contact with service technicians throughout the day
- Input new service calls given to the service technicians onsite
- Assists customers with any questions regarding their service requests
- Promptly and effectively communicate with other departments, technicians, and management.
- Monitor the status of parts on order for open jobs
- Serve as backup for other dispatchers
- Must be able to work rotational on-call schedules.
- Any other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of dispatching experience
- Have an extensive knowledge of the food service industry
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle high volume calls using multiple phone devices
- Work successfully in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
- Establish and maintain tactful, courteous, and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the general public
- Possesses the sense of urgency
- Proficient in MS Office and other computer applications
- Excellent attendance record
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be efficient and organized to handle multiple task assigned at the same time
- Must be able to work overtime, holidays, nights and weekends when needed
