Job Summary
We are a general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction projects, seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as needed to meet project goals.
- Coordinate with CEO, superintendents, assistant project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Identify and resolve project issues, conflicts, and delays in a timely manner to maintain project progress.
- Manage and track project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals and shop drawings, ensuring timely distribution.
- Monitor project costs, change orders, subcontractor performance, and overall project financials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within project management software and communicate project updates to the appropriate team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project partners.
- Provide direction and delegate responsibilities to Assistant Project Managers to support project efficiency and successful completion.
- Oversee project closeout, ensuring punch list items are completed and providing guidance to the Assistant Project Manager on closeout documentation as needed.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in commercial and/or industrial construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Experience with construction project management software required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic who takes initiative and works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
