We are a general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position (not remote) that provides direct support to Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, and company leadership.
This role is ideal for someone currently in college or a recent graduate looking to build a career in construction project management. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to CEO, Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, and field staff
- Assist with coordinating projects from pre-construction through close-out
- Organize, file, and maintain project documents, logs, and correspondence
- Help maintain project management software to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
- Assist with preparation and tracking of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contracts
- Support scheduling of meetings, site visits, and conference calls
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors as needed
- Assist with permit applications and tracking approvals
- Help monitor project timelines and report on progress
- Perform general administrative and operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; prior commercial construction experience is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities across multiple projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
