Job Summary:
CommandTec, LLC has a requirement for a User Interface Developer ? Journeyman supporting a federal government customer. The User Interface Developer ? Journeyman is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-centered web and application interfaces that support enterprise business systems and mission-critical applications. This position collaborates with application developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to create intuitive, responsive, and accessible user experiences that meet functional and technical requirements. The User Interface Developer translates business needs into visual designs and interactive solutions while ensuring compliance with design standards, accessibility requirements, and cybersecurity guidelines. The User Interface Developer contributes to front-end development efforts by implementing responsive interfaces using modern UI frameworks and technologies while supporting usability, performance optimization, and seamless integration with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive user interfaces for web-based and enterprise applications
- Develop front-end components using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive frameworks
- Translate business and functional requirements into user interface designs and interactive solutions
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts in Agile environments
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile development activities
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to support user interface design efforts
- Ensure consistent user experience across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices
- Support usability testing and implement UI enhancements based on user feedback
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related defects and performance issues
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and user experience best practices
- Maintain UI documentation, design standards, and style guides
- Support integration of UI components with backend applications and services
- Assist with modernization and enhancement of legacy applications
- Participate in configuration management and version control processes
