Job Summary:
CommandTec, LLC has a requirement for a Junior Application Developer supporting a federal government customer. The Application Developer ? Junior supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications and software solutions. This position works under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads to implement enhancements, resolve defects, and support application sustainment activities. The Junior Application Developer contributes to development efforts while gaining experience in enterprise technologies, software development lifecycle processes, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems
- Support application sustainment, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain code using .NET, Java, and other approved development technologies
- Assist with database development, queries, and data maintenance using SQL, MySQL, or similar platforms
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
- Support system integration, configuration, and deployment activities
- Assist in debugging applications and resolving software defects
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and code comments
- Support web-based application development using HTML5 and related technologies
- Assist in testing activities including unit, functional, and integration testing
- Participate in configuration management and version control processes
- Support application upgrades, patches, and enhancements
- Collaborate with senior developers, UI developers, and business analysts
- Assist in maintaining application security and compliance requirements in accordance with federal and organizational standards
- Support server environments including IIS, Tomcat, Apache, or Linux systems
- Participate in DevOps and CI/CD pipeline activities as assigned by senior technical staff
- Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned
