Job Title: Commercial Concrete Superintendent
We are seeking an experiencedConcrete Superintendent to oversee commercial concrete projects from start to finish. This is a field-based leadership role responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety, and delivering high-quality concrete work.
The Concrete Superintendent is expected to be actively involved in the day-to-day execution of the work, not just observing it. The right candidate understands concrete operations, can manage multiple crews, and knows how to identify and solve problems before they impact schedule or quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of concrete construction from mobilization through completion
- Lead, direct, and coordinate concrete crews and foremen in the field
- Plan daily and weekly work activities to maintain production and schedule
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, addenda, and project manuals
- Verify layout, elevations, embeds, anchor bolts, sleeves, and installation details
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and concrete deliveries
- Communicate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and Owners
- Attend project meetings as required and provide accurate field updates
- Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets contract requirements
- Enforce all safety policies and jobsite safety requirements
- Inspect job sites regularly to ensure safe, productive, and organized operations
- Identify issues early and drive timely solutions in the field
- Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, and schedule updates
- Train, mentor, and hold crews accountable for performance and workmanship
- Support documentation, field verification, and project closeout activities
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as a Concrete Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and production
- Ability to read plans and specifications and run work independently
- Experience managing multiple crews and coordinating jobsite activities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize, plan ahead, and adapt to changing jobsite conditions
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and field reporting tools
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain)
- Formal education in construction management or related field is a plus
