Job Overview
We are looking for a Concrete Field Superintendent to lead day-to-day concrete operations on commercial projects in Northwest Arkansas. This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for crew coordination, schedule execution, safety, and quality control.
This position is not observational. The Superintendent is expected to be actively engaged in planning the work, directing crews, and solving problems in real time to keep projects moving efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee concrete work from mobilization through completion
- Lead and coordinate concrete crews and foremen in the field
- Plan daily and weekly work activities to maintain production goals
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents
- Verify layout, elevations, embeds, anchor bolts, sleeves, and details
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and concrete deliveries
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and jobsite partners
- Attend required project meetings and provide accurate field updates
- Enforce quality standards and contract requirements
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and maintain organized work areas
- Identify issues early and implement practical field solutions
- Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, and progress updates
- Train, mentor, and hold crews accountable for workmanship
- Support documentation, verification, and project closeout
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Concrete Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of concrete construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read plans and independently run field operations
- Experience coordinating crews and daily jobsite activities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan ahead and adapt to changing site conditions
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with foundations, slabs-on-grade, structural, and site concrete
- Familiarity with basic scheduling or field reporting tools
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain)
- Construction-related education is a plus
