Job Summary
The Plumbing Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all field plumbing operations across CT Mechanical’s active projects. This leadership role focuses on manpower planning, crew allocation, safety enforcement, and production efficiency.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, and field leadership, the Plumbing Production Manager ensures the right people are on the right jobs at the right time, balancing labor needs to meet project schedules and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily and weekly plumbing field operations across multiple job sites.
- Coordinate manpower scheduling with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient labor utilization.
- Collaborate with Project Managers regarding labor needs, upcoming workload, and project staffing requirements.
- Lead and mentor field foremen and plumbing crews, providing direction and ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Monitor field productivity and track labor hours to support accurate cost reporting.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of skilled plumbers and apprentices.
- Ensure proper allocation of tools, equipment, and vehicles to job sites as needed.
- Identify training needs and coordinate with leadership to enhance field performance and craftsmanship.
- Promote safety awareness and enforce company and OSHA safety standards on all job sites.
- Participate in project planning, manpower forecasting, and post-project performance reviews.
Required Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
- 7 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (State of Florida) preferred.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, labor allocation, and field production processes.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate crews across multiple job sites.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scheduling or field management software preferred.
