Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel duct systems
- Fit, align, and secure duct sections prior to welding
- Weld in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) under field conditions
- Read and follow mechanical blueprints and install plans
- Verify weld quality and inspect final joints for integrity and safety compliance
- Work as part of a field install team, coordinating closely with foremen and project managers
- Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain safety standards on active construction sites
- Adapt to varying job site conditions, including elevated work and confined spaces
- Travel between job sites as required by project needs (within regional area)
- Support site-specific tasks such as rigging, layout, and system adjustments
- Certified Welder with MIG and TIG capabilities (required)
- 6G Certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of field welding experience in mechanical or commercial HVAC installs
- Experience with stainless steel duct systems required
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, ductwork layouts, and site plans
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at heights
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job right the first time
