Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our guest, manage administrative tasks efficiently, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with computers, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
Duties
- Greet and check-in guests: Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, verify their reservation details, assign rooms, and provide room keys or access cards
- Check-out procedures: Process payments, review guest billing, and ensure a smooth departure experience
- Reservation management: Handle online, phone, and in-person reservations, update bookings in the hotel’s management system, and maintain up-to-date records of room availability and rates
- Guest information and assistance: Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, room features, and services, as well as local attractions, dining, and entertainment options
- Handling inquiries and complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, or complaints, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues efficiently
- Collaboration with other departments: Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure rooms are properly prepared, maintenance issues are addressed, and guest needs are met
- Payment processing and record-keeping: Accept payments via cash, credit cards, or other methods, maintain accurate guest accounts, and handle financial documentation securely
- Upselling and promotions: Recommend room upgrades, special packages, or hotel amenities to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue
- Emergency and safety procedures: Stay informed about hotel safety protocols and respond to emergencies such as medical incidents or fire alarms appropriately
- Front desk organization: Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organized reception area; manage mail, messages, and guest requests efficiently
