Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of textiles.
- Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, pressing, and inspecting linens, uniforms, or garments for quality and damage.
- Follow safety standards in production by adhering to proper handling procedures for laundry detergents, chemicals, and machinery.
- Manage sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent contamination.
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport heavy loads safely within the facility.
- Perform heavy lifting when moving large baskets or bulk textiles while following manual handling safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and ensuring timely delivery of clean linens or garments.
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and pushing carts.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or adjusting machine settings.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in production environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during laundry processes.
