In this vital role, you will oversee the night shift, balancing administrative duties with guest relations to maintain the highest standards of service. Your expertise in hospitality management and customer service will help create a welcoming environment for our guests while ensuring operational accuracy and security during nighttime hours.
*This position will require you to work weekends!
Responsibilities
- Conduct nightly audits using property management systems (PMS) such as Choice Advantage to reconcile accounts, verify reservations, and update guest records
- Manage front desk operations during the overnight shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and handling guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve issues efficiently through excellent customer service problem-solving skills
- Monitor hotel security by inspecting premises, and following hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety
- Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, providing information and assistance to guests and staff alike
- Prepare detailed shift reports, incident logs, and financial summaries to ensure accurate record-keeping for management review
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams to address any overnight operational needs or guest concerns
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality management or front desk operations within a hotel or resort environment
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems such as Choice Advantage or similar property management software is a plus!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures, guest relations strategies, and hospitality best practices
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling client communication professionally
- Previous night audit or overnight front desk experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high energy levels and attention to detail
