Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to maintain spotless surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness standards by restocking supplies, disposing of waste properly, and reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to hotel housekeeping management protocols to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, with strong janitorial or industrial cleaning background preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, and floor care equipment operation
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times
- Experience with hospitality management practices related to housekeeping operations is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
