Job Overview

The award-winning Comfort Inn Ellsworth-Bar Harbor is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and laundryl teams in delivering exceptional cleanliness and hospitality standards. In this vital role, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, supervise staff, ensure quality control, and uphold the highest levels of guest satisfaction. This is a co-supervisory position

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks across all areas of the property
• Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to meet operational standards and deliver outstanding service
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels
• Help to develop work schedules for housekeeping team members to optimize coverage and efficiency
• Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and safe equipment operation
• Address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally to uphold high satisfaction levels

Requirements

• Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or custodial roles within hotels or hospitality environments
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning practices, laundry procedures, and janitorial standards
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively and foster a positive work environment
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, lift and pull moderate loads, and perform repetitive physical work.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
