Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Laundry Attendant, where your attention to detail and dedication will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our guests. This position will be scheduled from 3pm to 7pm, approximately 5 days per week. Weekends are a must. The position is seasonal at $19 per hour, with the possibility of year-round hours at the year-round wage of $17 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and specialty machines to process linens, towels, and other items.
- Sort laundry items by type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
- Fold clean linen and towels in accordance with hotel standards.
- Apply stain treatments as needed.
- Keep dryer filters clean.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting laundry areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and linen stock; notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling techniques for chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents.
- Assist with additional housekeeping duties as needed to support overall hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
