We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical equipment, plumbing, and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs, including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, filters, and ductwork to maintain comfortable indoor climates.
- Execute plumbing maintenance tasks such as pipe repairs, leak detection, drain cleaning, and system upgrades to prevent disruptions.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments where applicable.
- Lead welding projects or repairs on metal structures or equipment as needed while adhering to safety standards.
- Oversee facilities equipment maintenance including elevators, lighting systems, fire alarms, and security systems using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff during complex repair projects or routine tasks to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed using schematics and CMMS software for tracking maintenance history and planning future activities.
- Support building interior maintenance activities such as carpentry repairs, painting (including residential painting), and fixtures replacement to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to hotel guests and staff by promptly addressing facility concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building systems repair within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation.
- Electrical experience including wiring, electrical equipment repair, troubleshooting circuits with devices like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems repair including familiarity with HVAC components such as compressors, thermostats, filters, ductwork.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance including leak repairs, pipe fitting, drain cleaning and plumbing upgrades.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
- Ability to read technical schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to team members or non-technical staff.
- Supervising experience is a plus; leadership qualities are essential for guiding team members effectively.
- Certifications related to electrical work or HVAC systems are desirable but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary.
