Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support patients with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s
to promote safety during transfers and movement - Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive atmosphere for residents or clients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Assist with specialized memory care tasks such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support residents with developmental disabilities or autism by implementing tailored support strategies
- Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, hospice care, or other relevant certifications to enhance caregiving skills
Skills
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Strong skills in medication administration and understanding of care plans
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or dementia
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and family members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation aligned with dietary restrictions
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid procedures for emergency situations
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience and resilience in demanding situations
- Prior experience working in hospice care or providing social work support is a plus
