Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.
- Provide engaging companionship through conversation, recreational activities, and emotional support to enhance quality of life.
- Support children’s development by implementing age-appropriate educational activities, playtime, and routines aligned with early childhood education principles.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies following established safety protocols.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, or healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, behavioral observations, and any incidents or concerns.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages growth, learning, and emotional well-being for all clients.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in settings such as daycare, preschool, or caregiving environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education practices and classroom experience.
- Ability to provide toddler and infant care with patience and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members.
