Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, noting any changes or concerns to ensure timely intervention
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, ensuring a safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, adhering to infection control standards and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans and ensure consistent quality of care
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere for residents during weekend hours
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory impairments
- Ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of health deterioration
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and family members
