Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's care by implementing memory care strategies and ensuring a safe environment
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic living space and promote a comfortable atmosphere
- Follow care plans diligently while providing compassionate direct support tailored to each individual's needs
- Engage consumer in social activities or companionship to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient monitoring and ongoing care adjustments
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or group home settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
- Flexibility to work evening shifts from 5pm to 10pm in a dynamic caregiving environment
