Accounting Assistant

Job Responsibilities

Accounting assistant who is well diversified, specifically in the following areas:

• Accounts Receivable
• • Establishing & monitoring customer terms
  • Customer collections
  • Apply customer payments to account
  • Reconcile customer accounts, credits and charges
• Accounts Payable
• • Assist with vendor maintenance & purchasing
  • Code invoices, set up new vendor accounts and communicate with vendors as needed, reconcile vendor accounts
  • Verify and complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are accurately paid
• Account Analysis and Reconciliation
• • Assist with month-end procedures and periodic internal audits

Specific Skills

• Strong level of confidentiality
• Strong data entry skills (typing and ten key)
• Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment
• Strong business writing skills
• Microsoft office experience including Excel
• Must be detailed oriented and have ability to multitask
• Some college or equivalent work experience

Work Environment

• Office
• Primarily sedentary work, but may involve some walking, standing
• Ability to use a computer and phone for extended periods.
