Duties
- Develop comprehensive safety plans aligned with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and industry best practices for concrete construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to risk management and occupational health, implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Lead safety training sessions for workers and management on topics such as OSHA compliance, Workers' Compensation procedures, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) protocols.
- Monitor adherence to safety policies using construction management software and onsite observations, ensuring strict compliance management across all activities.
- Investigate incidents or near-misses thoroughly, documenting findings and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into construction schedules and workflows effectively.
- Stay updated on evolving OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and industry trends to continuously improve safety programs and ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site safety management within concrete or heavy civil construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Workers' Compensation processes, risk management strategies, and occupational health principles.
- Experience utilizing construction management software for safety tracking and compliance documentation.
- Demonstrated ability in compliance management, conducting risk assessments, and implementing EHS initiatives effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for training teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders on-site. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred to effectively communicate with our diverse field crews.
- Construction management or related certification is preferred; relevant experience in concrete construction is essential.
