What You Will Do

- Keep Production, HVAC, facility equipment and infrastructure in good working order.
- Detect and correct errors before the machine, or the products it produces, are damaged.
- Be able to effectively operate equipment as required.
- May be required to take the equipment apart to repair or replace the necessary parts.
- Expected to have electrical, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics to repair sophisticated equipment.
- Once a repair is made, test the machine to ensure that it is running correctly and smoothly.
- Perform tear downs, rebuilds and preventive maintenance.
- Participate in development and training maintenance technician I employees.
- Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as needed based on production demands.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.

Are You?
- A High School or Vo-Tech School graduate with 3 years related experience or training.
- In a certification program for maintenance, mechanical, electrical or other equipment related discipline.
- Reliable self-starter with good attendance record.
- Proficient in basic computer use with the ability to learn and use new systems quickly & efficiently.
- Proficient in a maintenance management system.
- Safely operate and use standard shop equipment.
- Understanding of the concept of continuous improvement, six sigma or lean manufacturing.
- Certification: Forklift Certified.
- Completed technical certification in maintenance or working towards mechanic, electrical, or other equipment related discipline.
- Knowledge and/or previous experience in blow molding, injection molding or extrusion molding.
- Experience with processing or troubleshooting of plastics manufacturing equipment.
- Some knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficient in math skills (imperial & metric), as well as measurement and use of measurement tools.
- Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Time-management – organized with ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Work independently and in a team environment and take direction from others.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with all levels in the organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills- ability to work well with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, manage priorities and crises situations in a professional manner.
- Read blue prints, electrical, hydraulic and ladder logic and operational procedures.
- Knowledge, skills and ability to train Maintenance Technician I.
- Effectively communicate with supervisor.
- The ability to read, write, and comprehend information provided.
- Stand for most of the work shift.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Heavier amounts can be moved with assistance of equipment.
