The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing the assigned regional market and/or market segment, executing ComAp’s sales strategy, and achieving targeted growth. The role focuses on building strong customer and partner relationships, identifying new business opportunities, supporting technical solution adoption, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Area Sales Manager contributes directly to regional revenue performance and supports the company’s long‑term market presence.
Responsibilities
- Execute a disciplined sales process within the assigned area, including opportunity management, funnel management, KPI tracking, and forecasting.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing accounts across distributors, OEMs, engineering firms, and integrators.
- Present high‑value technical solutions to varied audiences including engineering, purchasing, owners/principals, and technical services staff.
- Develop territory‑specific sales plans and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
- Maintain accurate customer records, activity logs, and pipeline information in CRM.
- Provide quotations, support negotiations, and ensure commercial alignment with company policies.
- Resolve customer inquiries by coordinating with technical support, product, and engineering teams.
- Report on market developments, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
- Attend and promote ComAp at regional trade shows, training sessions, and marketing activities.
- Embody and promote ComAp’s people‑first culture and represent the brand professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Energy Systems, Hybrid Technology, or Business) or 5 years of relevant experience
- School or Field of study: Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Energy Systems, Business management, Skilled‑trade/military path: Electrical apprentice/Journeyman, military prime power or equivalent; technical diploma or OEM factory training in power control
- Acquired skills: Technical sales or applications within power generation/HMG/CHP/BESS, including reading one‑lines/three‑lines, sizing/quoting, and integration of inverters, gensets, ATS/switchgear, PLC/SCADA, Modbus/CAN
- Experience in relevant position: 5 to 10
- Total years of experience: 5 to 10
- Required Travel: Up to 50%
