POSITION: EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
COMANCO is seeking an Employee Development Coordinator to support the growth, development, and success of our field employees. This role serves as a key connection between employees, field leadership, Safety, and Administration by helping employees develop professionally, reinforcing safe work practices, and supporting a positive workplace culture.
Employee Development & Training
- Support employee onboarding and help new hires successfully transition into field operations.
- Conduct Safety Orientation and communicate company policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Monitor employee progress through regular follow-up meetings and field visits.
- Partner with supervisors and managers to support employee coaching, development, and performance improvement.
- Identify training opportunities and recommend development solutions.
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional growth throughout the organization.
Field Support & Safety Culture
- Maintain an active presence on project sites to support employees and reinforce COMANCO's culture and expectations.
- Assist with safety observations, inspections, meetings, and employee coaching.
- Support OSHA and MSHA compliance initiatives.
- Help facilitate the use of safety tools and technology, including HCSS Safety.
- Participate in pre-job planning and site-specific training activities.
- Support incident follow-up and corrective action initiatives.
- Build positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, customers, and project teams.
Administrative Support
- Maintain employee development records, reports, and tracking systems.
- Assist with reporting and presentations related to employee development and safety initiatives.
- Support employee training and development programs through effective organization and communication.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to job sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in employee development, training, safety, construction operations, human resources, workforce development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
