Position Summary
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce quality products while meeting production and safety standards.
Duties
- Set up and operate extrusion machinery according to production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Perform routine quality inspections and document production results.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and notify maintenance of major concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
- Complete required production paperwork accurately and on time.
Requirements
- Manufacturing or extrusion experience is preferred but not required; training is available for qualified candidates.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
