Financial Accounting Lead - Fort Worth, TX | $120K-$140K Relocation

What You'll Do:
- Lead critical financial processes including asset retirement obligations, lease accounting, and trust reporting
- Oversee monthly journal entries for prepaids, depreciation/depletion, accruals, and reclassifications
- Guide the financial team on new accounting standards and business changes
- Collaborate across departments with Land, Engineering, and Senior Management
- Analyze and manipulate data and prepare financial reporting packages by downloading data from accounting software and using Excel to analyze and prepare reports
- Support training of new team members on processes and systems
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of Oil & Gas financial accounting and reporting experience (NOT operational accounting such as JIB or Revenue accounting)
- Advanced Excel proficiency - V/H Lookups, Pivot Tables (you'll show off these skills in the interview!)
- Detail-oriented mindset with ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and proven work ethic

The Environment:
- Core in-office hours: Flexible start and end times as long as you get your work done and are in office during core hours (Mon-Thu 9am-4pm, Fri 8:30am-12:30pm)
