Construction and Development, Program Controls Senior Financial Analyst
Position Summary
Our organization is seeking a highly motivated Construction and Development, Program Controls Senior Financial Analyst to support the financial planning, analysis, and reporting of capital projects across our portfolio. This role will focus on providing accurate financial insights, variance analysis, and data-driven recommendations to ensure projects meet budgetary and strategic objectives. The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Construction and Development (C&D) team while working closely with operations, finance, accounting, and other departments across the company to ensure that projects are executed within scope, budget, and timeline while promoting efficiency and value. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in financial reporting, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze data from multiple sources, creating sophisticated financial reporting packages and dashboards.
- Maintain project controls frameworks for large construction and development projects and annual maintenance budgets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Support the development of multi-year financial plans and project classifications.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate project cost allocations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in implementing process improvements for financial tracking and reporting.
- Maintain organized financial records for audits and compliance purposes.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for ongoing and planned projects.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and investment partners.
- Partner with Accounting to provide CAPEX training and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Provide financial insights to support acquisition analysis and growth strategies.
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, project management, or related fields with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (essential) – complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, data modeling, advanced analytics.
- Technically savvy and eager to learn and adapt to improved systems and programs.
- Experience with automated accounting systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Moderate travel (less than 30%) may be required.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
