Summary:
Assists the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on daily basis. Position directs and works with managers and team members to carry out procedures. Ensures guest and team member satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for personnel functions, such as: interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, development, supervision, delegations, evaluations and disciplinary actions; will perform these functions in a timely manner.
- Manages daytoday operations of the Front Desk area, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guests on a daily basis.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish objectives.
- Handles complaints, settles disputes, and resolves grievances and conflicts.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.
- Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
- Practices and enforces policies and procedures.
- Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities and promotions our guests and team members.
- Operates and maintains office equipment, including but not limited to: computer, programmable telephone system, programmable fax and multiuse photocopier.
- Compiles and enters information into the computer systems and HRIS database.
- Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Two (2) years’ experience in the guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
- Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
- Ability to operate multiline phone.
- Excellent organization and administration skills required.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well in pressure situations.
- Knowledge of all hotel department’s functions.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in windowsbased programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software and databases.
- Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
- Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training, if applicable, upon hire and annually.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid nongaming permit or Tribal Gaming Badge (whichever is applicable).
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally bend, squat and/or reach.
- Ability to be given verbal and written instruction and apply the instruction accurately.
- Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice nonverbal behavior.
- Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
- Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
- Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke, fumes or airborne particles.
