Summary:

A working supervisor who is responsible for the upkeep of the entire casino property and/or some equipment; supervises Facilities team members, providing effective guidance and assistance in regards to the completion of the goals and objectives of the Facility department; performs duties in a guest service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations; may act in the place of the Facility Manager when assigned. Incumbent is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of general Facility team member on assigned shift relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for personnel functions, such as: interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, development, supervision, delegations, evaluations and disciplinary actions; will perform these functions in a timely manner.
  • Compiles and enters information into the computer systems and HRIS database.
  • Prepares departmental paperwork and any reports in regards to the department and company needs.
  • Operates and provides proper care and repair of maintenance/cleaning equipment.
  • Performs routine and assigned preventative maintenance duties as assigned, including but not limited to: cleaning, maintaining and repairing pools, saunas, whirlpools, stage and lighting equipment, kitchen and restaurant equipment, and conference room equipment.
  • Orders supplies to ensure casino is stocked with appropriate supplies.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, law, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicates and documents interactions with contractors.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair projects with appropriate department to ensure minimal guest and guest interruption.
  • Ensure safe conditions for the buildings and property by applying best management practices applicable to safety.
  • Follows all SDS guidelines while utilizing cleaning chemicals.
  • May be required to perform biohazard and HAZMAT cleanups.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely completion of projects by Facility team member.
  • Operates and maintains office equipment, including but not limited to: computer, programmable telephone system, programmable fax and multiuse photocopier.
  • Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years facility maintenance experience.
  • Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and products.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in basic maintenance
  • Must have knowledge of various hand and power tools and be able to safely operate those tools.
  • Must be able to safely operate scissor lift, forklift, snow plow, ORV, tractor, and company vehicles.
  • Knowledge of applicable safe practices, including PPE, MSDS, Slips and Falls, HAZMAT, Biohazard, etc.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that regulate all aspects of the position.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in windowsbased programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software and databases.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute fractions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
  • Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training, if applicable, upon hire and annually.
  • Must possess a current and valid Washington State Driver’s License (Coulee Dam Casino is exempt from this requirement).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid nongaming permit or Tribal Gaming Badge (whichever is applicable).

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
  • Ability to frequently sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or reach.
  • Ability to frequently climb and maneuver ladders.
  • Ability to frequently push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice nonverbal behavior.
  • Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
  • Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability of sight to recognize traffic signs, read directions/maps, and maneuver a vehicle safely.
  • Occasionally works near or around electricity.
  • Occasionally works near or around mechanical moving parts.
  • Frequently exposed to vibration.
  • Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
  • Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
