Required Qualifications (Non‑Negotiable)
- 2-5 years of income tax preparation experience within a CPA firm (required)
- Advanced proficiency with Lacerte tax software (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA credential not required, but highly valued)
- Recent or current experience working in a public accounting / CPA firm
- Demonstrated experience preparing a variety of tax returns, including:
Individual (1040)
Partnership (1065)
C-Corporation (1120)
S-Corporation (1120S)
Trusts and Estates (1041)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and compliance standards
- Experience creating accurate, audit-ready tax workpapers
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Sage 50 Accounting
- Solid Excel skills for tax schedules, reconciliations, and data analysis
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with minimal oversight, especially during tax season
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with clients and internal teams
- Industry experience with clients in Real Estate, Medical, Restaurants, Legal, and Oil & Gas is preferred
- Consistent and stable employment history (no frequent job changes)
- Must reside within 40 miles of Tulsa, OK
- Onsite role only remote or hybrid arrangements are not available
